Tile & Ceramic Repair in London
Ceramics are naturally difficult to repair. Their dense structure provides little grip to synthetic resins and glues, and they come in a near infinite range of exotic colours and finishes.
I offer repairs on chips and cracks in complex printed ceramics and solid colour tiles, I also provide resin injection services for hollow tiles and tiles with poor subfloor adhesion.
I perform spot repairs to chips in glazed porcelain sanitaryware. I employ repair methods using the best primers and mastics to ensure long lasting adhesion in the harsh moisture and temperature environments the repairs must endure.
Chips, scratches, and structural cracks can all be repaired, saving on replacements and avoiding calling back the plumbers and tilers.

I use a range of processes and techniques to repair ceramic surfaces. Often I offer multiple methods of repair, from basic structural/material repairs where I simply fill a chip with a colour matched filler, to more advanced repairs with colour matched lacquers. When responding to your enquiry I make it clear the options available to repair your damage and their exact cost.

FAQs

The finish of every repair is different and depend on a lot of factors such as lighting and viewing angle. My stated goal is to repair to a standard so a guest wouldn’t notice, only those who know it was there could see it. Sometimes this isn’t possible due to the condition of the surface. The result you can expect from your repair will be discussed upfront.

Yes. Chips and cracks in glazed porcelain sanitaryware are a common job, particularly in rental properties and period homes. The repair process uses moisture-resistant primers and enamels that cure to a hard, cleanable finish that holds up well in a bathroom environment.
However, I don’t offer repairs to acrylic, fibreglass, or steel sanitaryware.

Yes, and it's one of the most common reasons people call. Whether you're a tenant arranging a repair, or a landlord turning around a property between lets, a repair is almost always faster and cheaper than replacement.

A hollow tile has lost adhesion to the substrate beneath it — you can hear it by tapping, and it's at risk of cracking or lifting entirely. I inject specialist resin under the tile to re-bond it to the wall or floor without removal, which is far less invasive than re-tiling and avoids damage to waterproofing layers in wet areas.
-
Yes — that's exactly what I do. Replacing a tile almost always means disturbing the grout, risking damage to adjacent tiles, and then struggling to source a match, particularly in older properties. A repair done on-site preserves everything around it and is usually a fraction of the cost.
